May 1998 Report Progress is being made on the muon geometry codes. Nemat Rakhmatov has returned to work on the muon geometry and is concentrating on the channel geometry part, although he works remotely from Uzbekistan. The input data file for WAMUS PDT's has been produced in the form of RCP file. The input files for the rest of the system are being converted from d0gstar tz files and other sources. The interface between mureco and muon geometry has been defined and is being implemented. In d0gstar, an indexing scheme to describe the muon detector volumes is implemented and the index is stored in SimTkHit class for the muon hits. This index is used in the digitization code. The digitization code has been written as a part of MuoUnpReco class. Both of the MDT and pixel classes for FAMUS have been implemented. In the process of doing this, we have refined MuoIndex class which is the handle to a particular detector element. We have also re-organized MuoHit classes so that WAMUS classes can be implemented without writing new codes. Implementation of the WAMUS hit classes is underway. The official framework has been implemented in muon reconstruction packages. - Pushpa + Taka
