MUON ALGORITHMS REPORT				August 1999
----------------------

	Muon Geometry package has been checked to be consistent with
MC Geometry for the most part. Some discrepancies are found in case
of cosmic cap scintillators. Debugging efforts continue. (Jesik,
Rakmatov, Sirotenko)

	Muon reconstruction software has been reorganized (by Peters
and Kozelov) driven by the need to decouple framework-dependent code
from algorithms (common to offline and Level 3) and data
containers/format specifiers. We have completed the work on the new
packages muo_data, muo_dataprocessor, muo_hitreco, muo_segmentreco and
muo_trackreco.   The chain  d0gstar ->  muo_unpdata  -> muo_hitreco ->
muo_segmentreco -> muo_trackreco works.

	We have also achieved the milestone of being able to read data
in Run 2 format and plot the hit information using muo_examine. The
cosmic ray data in Run 2 format written by Herman Haggerty and Tom
Marshall were read and tested. (Hedin, Sirotenko, Fortner)

raw_data -> unpack_reco -> muo_examine works.

	We have two offline data analysis packages: muo_analyze
(Yasuda, Zieminska, Luo) and muo_explore (Prosper, Bhat, Kozelov)
which write out ntuples.
