MUON ALGORITHMS REPORT				September 1999

	Some minor  shuffling  of code between various   reco packages
were  done. (Kozelov, Peters) We  have also implemented  the option of
using different   algorithms  for  segment  finding   and  local track
finding.  The algorithm(s) can be selected via the reco framework RCP.
One simple algorithm each for segment-finding  and track finding exist
in the code  and a rough  momentum estimation has been  implemented by
matching A  and BC  segments at  the  mid-plane of  the magnet.
Some documentation on  segmentreco  and trackreco has  been generated.
We have  also  requested a  review of  the existing reco  code by Marc
Paterno and Jim Kowalkowski.    A presentation reviewing the  software
status was given at GCAS by Pushpa. 

	We are  currently testing  the  reconstruction software  using
muo_analyze and   muo_explore packages.  The  preliminary  results are
reasonable.  The short term plans are  to implement more sophisticated
algorithms for  segment finding (Bhat, Prosper)  and to debug the reco
code (many).
