Workshop on 'QCD at D0'
December 15 - 18, 1996
Michigan State University
East Lansing, Michigan

Goal:

The purpose of this workshop is to finalize the many analyses which are nearing publication and to explore new ideas for both Run I and Run II. The main questions to answer are: 'what are we measuring?', 'how well do we know the errors and their correlations?', and 'what does the measurement mean?'.

Most of the workshop will be devoted to mini-sessions on the following topics:

  • High ET jets (G. Blazey, B. Abbott)
  • QCD with gamma/W/Z Bosons (S. Linn)
  • Jet and Event properties (D. Lincoln)
  • Small-x Physics (BFKL and Rapidity gaps) (A. Brandt, T. Heuring)
  • While some of the sessions will be devoted to the details of experimental analysis, other sessions are aimed at a physical understanding of our new results. We have invited a large number of theoreticians, including:

  • Walter Giele
  • John Pumplin
  • Carl Schmidt
  • Davison Soper
  • Wu-Ki Tung
  • Bryan Webber
  • C.P. Yuan
