KT Jets Momentum Calibration (K. Frame's
PhD thesis, D. Elvira, R. Piegaia, R. Snihur, V. Sorin, H. Wahlberg, J.
Zhou)
KT jets were
calibrated following approximatelly the same prescription as for cone jets.
The contributions
of the underlying event, Ur noise, pileup, and multiple proton-antiproton
interactions are treated differently, given that the KT algorithm
does not have a fixed size in h-f
space. The absence of a cone boundary also avoids out-of-cone showering
losses. KT jets are, therefore, calibrated to a greater degree
of accuracy than cone jets.
