Poem In The Style Of William Carlos Williams First day of spring And why isn't the sky blue? More like a pussy willow day - threatening snow Snow. Hail. More clouds. Now a blue sky And a spring like afternoon. Now a March day in March - Cloudy to snowing by late afternoon, Evening thundershower. Sunday no sun. Early morning cold as winter Too cold here when the sun shines, too. A real spring day and the snow melts fast. Lawns muddy - trying to cloud up. Notes: This was penciled on the back of a Mother's Day card that is, I think, from Aunt Peggy to Gram.
