Elizabeth's D0 MTC Home Page

MTC is a set of utilities within a D0 software package which identifies and/or verifies MIP (minimum ionizing particle) traversal through the D0 calorimeter and provides quantitative information about those candidates.

Run I MTC Links

  • MTC - Muon Tracking in the DØ Calorimeter (ID/tracking/track finding) - d0note_2066.
  • MTCL2 - Muon Tracking in the Calorimeter at Trigger Level 2 - d0note_2195
  • MTCVTX - Vertex Finding using Muon Tracking in the Calorimeter.
  • Where can I find the code ? - location of the Run 1 code and documentation.
  • Run II MTC Progress

  • Status Reports
    • January 4, 2001 -- thanks to Charles Leggett for getting the online code on the road.

  • Use cases - for Run II online MTC. The tool name is L3TMTC.
'Use cases' are the first step of laying out a tool within the L3 framework.
It allows the Level 3 and object ID groups to review the dependencies,
scope of cuts, functionality, and potential uses of online tools.
  • Pictures - of muons in the Run I detector.
The Run II calorimeter has upgraded electronics but uses the same Uranium/lAr detector.
Run I data will be used to study muon energy deposition for the Run II version of MTC.
