The first steps towards a measurement of the
W + 2  jets and  W b \bar{b}  production  cross section at
$\sqrt{s}=1.96$~TeV in the $e  +  \MET\ final state are presented.

With 117.1 pb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity a  95\% C.L. upper limit 
on the $W b \bar{b}$ cross-section of 33.4 pb has been set.
