Subject: He's home!!!!

Friday afternoon
Dear Friends and Family,

Hurray!  HE'S FINALLY HOME!  The doctors decided that even though he is still
unable to eat, he needs time away from the hospital.  He has been getting more
and more depressed.

He did not get sleep last night.  Vomited all night.  They raised his NG food
input to 50.  (They wanted it up to 90 before he went home.)  They lowered it
to 40, but he still couldn't keep food down.  Sara and Stan will continue to
try to feed him through the tube while at home.  The tube comes out sometimes
when he vomits.  Scares him. Sara shocked herself when she put the 13 inch
tube back in herself!

Sara will be drawing blood daily. A home nurse will come daily to pick up
blood, check vitals and answer questions.  They will be home until Tuesday
morning.  When they return to S.F. on Tuesday, Brian will get a room in the
new wing!  And his 3rd week of chemo will start.  Most of the chemo is given
via IV into his broviac tubes, except for the chemo delivered in the every
other day Spinal taps.  It will be rough week.

We pray that Brian has a good time with his family these next 3 days.  We pray
that he'll be able to keep down some food.  We pray that he smiles with his
brother and plays with his cars and trucks.
