Subject: We need big prayers right now!

Sunday afternoon 1/8, 5:20 p.m.

Dear Friends and  Family,
Denny and I spent last night with Brian.  It was a very bad night.  He vomited
all night.  At times he vomited blood.  He continued to do this today.  Denny
and I came home at noon to get some sleep.  Sara just called to tell me that
they have stopped the chemo.  They are taking him into OR to put a scope down
his throat to see where the bleeding is coming from.  They suspect a tear in
his esophagus.  They can cauterize the area if they find a tear.  

They also think perhaps he may be having liver damage.  He had blood in his
stool during the night.

Brian's team will meet tomorrow morning to discuss what will be done next..

Please pray that this surgery finds a simple, solvable problem that can be
quickly fixed.  Please pray that he does not experience liver failure.  Pray
for Sara and Stan to be strong during these hours of uncertainty.  Pray for
Brian to be strong and keep up his fight.
