Subject: Brian is doing ok. Wed. night 2/18 Dear Friends and Family, Prayers were answered and Brian's blood pressure went up and he never had to go into ICU. The doctors are keeping him comfortable with morphine, benadryl and adavan. His stomach pain is bad due to the CDEF infection as well as the chemo. He is in the recovery period now. He has not had chemo since Feb. 8th. He is scheduled for another week of chemo to start on Monday, Feb. 23rd. The Or is scheduled for his LP ( Methyltrexate through his spine). But before they do the LP, they are going to put a scope in and check out his mucousitis. If it has not cleared up, they will delay the LP and start of the week of chemo until he is healed. The last round of chemo was started before the mucousitis cleared up and he had a very hard time. Brian is still uncomfortable and very sensitive to noise, but he is getting sleep and all is going as smoothly as can be expected. He has had a fever everyday all day since last Sat. He still has a number of infections. Steven has a week school holiday this week. He wants to be near Sara and Brian, so he has stayed at the hospital while Stan goes to Santa Rosa to work. He finished his big school book report project. Sara took Steven to a magic shop today to get a trick--Remember Brian wanted magic! Pray that Brian's mucousitis clears up. Pray that the antibiotics start working and his fevers stop. Pray that Sara, Stan, and Steven have a good week as a family at the hospital. Pray for wisdom for all of Brian's doctors and nurses. Love, Susan
