Subject: No chemo today Monday, 2/23 Brian's WEB SITE: http://www-d0.fnal.gov/~hanlet/Brian/brian.html Dear Friends and Family, Today was a quiet day of "wait and see". Brian's fever was gone today. Motrin (instead of Tylenol) seemed to do the trick. We are waiting now to see if the fever comes back tonight. We are hoping that the fevers are over and the antibiotics have attacked any infection he had. They are going to reduce the antibiotics and get him ready to begin chemo later this week. He is still CDEF positive. Must remain on oral vancomycin for that. His doctor said it was not a problem for the beginning of chemo to be delayed. The CTSCAN came back normal. A test for infection behind the eyes was done today. They dilated his eyes and looked at them with a light. Not a complicated test. Results showed no infection behind his eyes. He felt well enough to go to the playroom and play BINGO. He had fun and liked the prizes better than last time. Last time they seemed to only have "girl" things! Sara woke up today with no migraine. She's been taking Maaylox for her upset stomach and feels ok but not perfect. Sara and Brian saw a double rainbow today outside their hospital window!! Please pray that Brian's fevers do not come back. Pray that Sara does not have a stomach infection. Sara said the scripture for the day is Romans 15:13. Love, Susan
