Subject: Not home yet

Wed. evening 3/11

Dear Friends and Family,
I had hoped to have the joyous message "They're home!".  But no such luck.
Everyday it has been a possibility, but something happens to prevent their
leaving----fever, pain, vomiting blood, mucousitis, etc.

Brian is now neutrapenic (blood counts are down).  He may still go home if he
doesn't get a fever.  The hold up now is getting his pain under control.  He
has gotten a bad case of mucousitis.  They are experimenting with a fentinyl
time-release patch for pain control.  If it works, they may go home tomorrow.

Sara has gotten very little sleep this week.  Brian talked to her all last
night.  She is beyond weary.  Thank goodness for Diane.  She came yesterday
and today to be with Sara and help her.  Sara definitely needed her support.

Please pray that Brian gets to go home this week.  Pray that his pain can be
controlled and that he does not get a fever.  Pray that Sara gets some much
needed sleep.
