Muon Detector Performance (4/17/01)
This page is the starting point for information related
to the muon detector's performance during Run II. It will
include online histograms such as hit maps, time
and pulse height plots. It will also include, or point
to, information on detector efficiencies and
detector resolutions.
Central Scintillators
The central scintillators consist of 630
A-layer, 80 B-layer (one the bottom and lower sides), and 276 C-layer
counters. The B- and C-layer counters each have two PMTs while
the A-layer counters have one. Pulse height is read out for 1 out
of every 16 channels. The counters are divided into octants (0-7) and
barrels (0-4) with finer divisions descibed in
central
counter map .
