Fermi Shambles Golf Rules

This is a team event!!

(combination scramble / best ball)

 

Format:            Everyone tee off.  Pick the best shot and everyone drop there, OR, you                                     may play your own shot and not drop your ball.  Do this for all holes                                including par 3s.  Finish the hole as an individual. There is NO                                                 requirement to use anyone’s tee shot at any time.

Scoring:            Put down your individual score for each hole.  After subtracting your                             handicap, the best score of that hole is your team score for that hole.

                        Your handicap will be given to you when you start.  You may figure your                                   team scores if you like (it may be a good check against the software),                                   otherwise the software will do it for you when your card is turned in.

Handicap:         Your season average is used and calculated to the slope and rating of                            Tamarack then divided in half.  For those not in the league and you have a                                 USGA Index, we can use your Index divided in half.  If not in the league                                 or no Index, your handicap is zero.

Gimmees:         NO GIMMEES! Everyone MUST PUTT OUT.

Carts:               Course Rules are NO walking, carts required.  On par threes stay on the                                   path and 30 feet away from all greens.

Tees:                Women play the Silver Tees and Men play the Black Tees.

Prizes:              Payout will be all Teams from First to Last, several individual low net,                            and 18 contest holes.  Golfers not members of a Fermi League are eligible                                for contest holes only (but still use your scores for the team scores).

Contests:          There will be a longest drive (in the fairway) on holes #5 and #10. All                            remaining holes will be closest to the pin.

Etiquette:          If a ball goes into a resident’s yard, leave it (as our Tamarack Host Jason                                  said, “Do not even breathe their air”).  Read the score card for course                              rules.  There is a function in the dining area.  We will use the patio to hand                out prizes and trophies.

                        7 -        Closest in 2                  16 -      Closest in 2

                        8 -        Closest in 2                  17 -      Closest in 1

                        9 -        Closest in 2                  18 -      Closest in 2

 

Blind Bogey: Cost $2.  Prizes: 2 rounds of golf at Tamarack, 2 rounds at Tamarack, 2 rounds at Ruffle Feathers, 2 rounds at Ruffled Feathers, and cash.  Pay: At the course.

How it works:  You pick a number to add or subtract from your individual net score so the total equals between 70 and 80.  A random number is drawn and persons with that number or closest to that number win.
