This works on the d0sgi's, and probably on fnalu. setup tcl setup tk cd $TK_DIR/tk4.0/library/demos wish widget Python was installed on the d0sgi's by scott, and I know of a few examples which I got from the web which might be interesting to look at. Scott may have more. Here's how it works for me: setup tcl setup tk cd ~lueking/python/temp setenv TCL_LIBRARY $TCL_DIR/tcl/library setenv TK_LIBRARY $TK_DIR/tk4.0/library python pong-demo-1.py ... and lots of other *.py demos There is also a ps manual in ~lueking/python/Doc/tut.ps I will establish a web page for us as a repository of useful info for our evaluation. We will try to meet about once every two weeks on Thursday mornings @ 10:30. This fit into the schedules of those at the meeting, and I think into David's schedule although I am not real sure. Here is a tentative list of meeting dates: July 25 Aug. 8 Aug. 22 Sept. 5 If all of these dates are inconvenient, let me know. We can also have a speaker phone connection for remote participation. I will try to arrange for a couple of "testimonials" at the next meeting from people experienced with these issues. Lee
