HOWTO run the Level 2 experts' section of Trigger_Examine with Online data.
(Soon this will be done with a "start_daq (something like Trigger_Examine)" command, but until that's written, this is the procedure.)
Login to d0ol38:
>ssh -l d0run d0ol38
On d0ol38:
Open two windows. In the first window:
>setup d0online
>cd /online/examines/p11.09.00/trigger_examine/Root/Level2
It is necessary to select the trigger bits for which you want plots. Take a look at a current DAQMON, to see what the corresponding number(s) are for the trigger(s) you are interested in. Then, open L2_experts_hist.C, and search for the first occurrence of TRIGGER_BIT1. Set either TRIGGER_BIT1 or TRIGGER_BIT2 to the trigger bit number you wish to study. Then, at the command line, enter the command:
>./L2_examine_for_experts.sh
The program will automatically open two more windows:
one window runs D0Analyze, and one runs the Trigger Examine.
In the second command window (the other one that you opened):
>setup d0online
>start_daq xgooey
After the program has begun running:
Click on the "File" button, then on "File - Add".
Open the file
/online/examines/p11.09.00/trigger_examine/Root/Level2/L2_TrigExpert.root
(Not L2_TrigEx.root).
Then click on the xgooey button "Cycle", to view the updating Examine
histograms, displayed in groups of four.
To exit the program, select "Exit", under the xgooey button "File". Also, CNTRL-C in the root window, then a ".q", and a CNTRL-C in the D0Analyze window, to end those two programs.
