Restarting l3LumServer

On d0ol03, a process called l3LumServer feeds luminosity information to L3 scripts. This process needs to be stopped and restarted occasionally, (when it goes into an "autistic" state).

To stop l3LumServer, ssh to d0ol03:

>d0ssh -l d0run d0ol03
>setup d0online

To kill the old process, and restart it, there is a script you can run in a bash shell: /home/moacyr/l3server/restart_server.sh

>cd /home/moacyr/l3server
>sh
bash$ ./restart_server.sh

To verify that the process has restarted, look at the Luminosity Experts GUI:

Click on "Server Status". If the time stamp next to "l3sr" has updated, then the process has restarted.

If you are unable to restart the process, inform the luminosity experts ASAP, and email to gotero@fnal.gov (Gustav) and haysjm@fnal.gov (Jonathan).
