Summary of the Tasks:

The FPD simulation package is composed of two parts. One is a modified D0GSTAR(D0 GEANT) that does double precision propagation of p/pbar and the other is a signal digitization package called fpddigi.

FPD Geometry

11/05/2001- The code that creates the FPD geometry file( fpd.tz ) , used by d0gstar to define the detector geometry , is done and I have a working version of the fpd.tz already placed in CVS by S.Kunori.

4/10/2001- The code has been released and is available from in p10.

Double Precision Propagation

11/05/2001- The code for the double precision propagation has been written and it's based on J.Barreto tracking routines. I'm currently working on interfacing this routines with GEANT. These propagation routines will be called from modified versions of GEANT's gthadr.F and gtrack.F.

4/10/2001- The code has been released and is available from in p10. Currently, the doble precision propagation of forward p/pbar in D0GSTAR is actived by an RCP switch. The switch is set to single precison propagation by default.

Digitization Package(fpddigi)

11/05/2001- The FPD digitization package(fpddigi) has been finished and the code is already placed on CVS.

4/10/2001- Modifications on FPDDigiChunk. Now is stores ADC count/channel in a map. A release has been requested and is already available in the test release.
