Contains a major updating of Section 3, Required Alignment Precision, Section 4.1, Residual Formulas/Individual Wedges, the associated Appendix A, and the References. There are UPPERCASE warnings in the places where the document is as yet unchanged and still contains the ladder document's text as a place holder.

John, see UPPERCASE comments to you on pages 3, 6, and 9.

Silke, please reread sections 4.1 and Appendix A carefully, checking all of the table and figure references which I added. See also the UPPERCASE comments on page 18 and 24.

Ela, please see the UPPERCASE comments on pages 6 and 7.

Veronica, could you look especially at Section 5, Data Samples and Rates, especially Section 5.2, Minbias and p_T Selection and also Section 6, Approximate Time Scales. These are the areas where more effort is needed.
